Execution

Unfortunately the failing controller for engine and the attempts to fix it caused some delay. Eventually a solution was found, the frame and motor of a normal Pedi-Teski was used. Although this frame is green, it doesn’t completely match the colours of the Chameleon, but it made it possible to execute the pilot. However, the setback in time made running both pilots not possible. The choice was made to run the pilot of the delivery service and let the pilot of the delivery service rest for the time being. In this chapter, the way the pilot was executed is described.

Day before pilot

/ Explain the idea behind the pilot, the assumptions we are going to test.

/ Explain how the liability works.

/ Explain that the team will be present during the pilot

/ Explain that the vendor will vend the usual products, for the usual price, to his usual customers, on the usual time.

/ Explain how the Chameleon bike works.

/ Let the vendor ride around on the Chameleon and give him a training

/ Explain that the vendor will have to fill out an evaluation form at the end of the day

/ Explain the importance of being on time.

Pilot day one

/ Let the vendor fill out the checklist for the beginning of the day.

/ Do another test ride.

/ Go to the store where the products that will be vended are located. In this case, Danbus Dairy where the sour milk, bongo, is stored.

/ Let the vendor ride the route he usually does and go to the customers he usually visits.

/ Observe.

/ Restock when necessary.

/ Go back to the Green Hub at the end of the day.

/ Let the vendor fill out the checklist of the end of the day.

/ Together with the vendor, fill out the evaluation form.

Pilot day two

/ Let the vendor fill out the checklist for the beginning of the day.

/ Explain the marketing strategy that the vendor will have to try that day.

/ Go to the store where the products that will be vended are located. In this case, Danbus Dairy where the sour milk, bongo, is stored.

/ Let the vendor ride the route he usually does and go to the customers he usually visits.

/ Give an example of the marketing strategy.
